Kathmandu, Aug. 6: The most wanted notorious gangster Dinesh Adhikari known as Chari was killed in a police encounter on Wednesday. Adhikari, who was allegedly involved in different criminal activities, was at large.
Chari was killed in the police encounter in Sitapaila-Bhimdhunga area after a criminal gang opened a fire on a patrolling police team, Senior Superintendent of Police Pushkar Karki confirmed.
Karki said that detail of the incident is yet to come out. Adhikari, a resident of Dhading district, was involved in different criminal activities in Kathmandu.
