Bhimduttanagar, Jan 30,2015: The Byas VDC that lies close to the tri-junction of Nepal, India and China is devoid of people these days due to the chilling cold and snowfall.Locals of the VDC have migrated to the Darchula district headquarters. The VDC has a population of 556 of 174 households.Locals of Tinkar and Chhanrung villages of the VDC generally migrate to the neighboring VDCs in November as no agricultural activities can be carried out in this season.Sauka, a local community is living hard life in the VDC as they lack access to basic facilities and State services.They have to take permission from the district administration office (DAO) to travel via India to reach Darchula headquarters, Om Prakash Tinkari, a local said.
