Tulsipur (Dang),7 March 2015: Minster for Finance Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has said economic development would not be possible without political stability.
Inaugurating the 23rd district council meeting of Dang District Development Committee here on Saturday, Dr Mahat said absence of people’s representatives at local body has heavily impeded development works.
On the occasion, Dr Mahat informed that the government has already allocated budget for blacktopping of Amaliya-Salyan, Lamahi-Kapurkot and Purandhara-Surkhet road section and works to this effect would start soon.
At the programme, CPN-UML Vice-chairperson Yubaraj Gyawali said common opinion and plan is necessary for development.
On the occasion, Constituent Assembly (CA) members representing Dand district urged the authorities concerned to pay special attention to the best use of appropriated budget.
Meanwhile, the Dang District Council has allocated around 92.1 million for the fiscal year 2072-73 BS.
