Lahan, Sept. 5: A trader of Udayapur was looted in Mirchaiya municipality-4 of Siraha on Friday afternoon.
Dhanbir Das,40, a resident of Katari municipality was carrying Rs. 806,000 to be paid to his wholesaler in Lahan when he robbed on the Mirchiya-Katari road section, police inspector at Area Police Office, Mirchaiya Hari Khatiwada said.
Das was travelling on a motorcycle when he was stopped at the road running through an area of jungle by the looters, who made off with the cash and a laptop.
A manhunt has been launched to find the looters, police said. RSS
