Tilottama (Rupandehi), 15 Oct 2014: The BP Village Health Treatment Centre, which has been in operation in Gangeliya of Rupandehi district for the past 10 years with the assistance of Japanese Government, has remained idle now.

The health facility was set up to provide with free of cost health services to the poor and helpless people of more than half a dozen VDCs of the district.

Locals said that the the five-bed health centre based in Gangeliya VDC-2, Piparhiya has remained closed for the past couple of years due to sheer negligence on part of its management committee and stakeholders.

The health facility had also provided treatment services including general surgery during early years of its establishment.

The health services provided by the centre had been a boon for the people of eastern and southern remote VDCs of Rupandehi. But now the health centre is itself in critical condition awaiting treatment.
