INDIAN PM’S BUSY FOR PRAYERS AND MEETS TODAY

Kathmandu, Aug. 4: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day official visit to Nepal, is scheduled to perform puja and make high-level meetings today.

 

According to the visit schedule provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is set to pay homage and offer worship to the Lord Pashupathinath this morning.

 

After offering prayers to Pashupatinath, Prime Minister Modi would reach the President’s Office, Shital Niwas, to pay a courtesy call on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.

 

Likewise, PM Modi would attend luncheon hosted by President Yadav at the latter’s office.

 

As per the schedule, he would hold separate meetings with CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and Unified CPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and leaders of Madhes-based parties this afternoon.

 

Also today, he would separately meet industrialists and business community of Nepal and Nepali Congress (NC) leaders to take stock Nepal’s economic situation and opinions of political parties.

 

It is learnt that half an hour time of PM Modi has been allotted for separate talks with President and Madhes-based parties’ leaders.

 

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to return home by a special aircraft this evening.
