KL Dugad’s depot sealed for selling cooking oil on exorbitant price

Kathmandu, December 3, 2015: Police have sealed a depot of KL Dugad at Jadibuti, Koteshwor, on charge of hoarding and selling cooking oil on exorbitant price.

Spokesperson at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Bishworaj Pokhrel, said the depot was sealed based on the information that it was selling ‘Dhara’ cooking oil at Rs 300 per litre while its actual price is Rs 120 per litre. There were some five trucks of the cartons of cooking oil in the depot.

The police also arrested depot manager Amaj Zain and coordinator Pramod Adhikari.
