Kathmandu, Nov 1: A meeting of the central committee of the Nepali Congress has today met with a focus on the party’s upcoming 13th general convention.
The meeting held at the party headquarters, Sanepa, discussed about forming different committees for the preparation of the general convention, said central committee member Govinda Bhattarai.
Formation of Main Ceremony Committee under the coordination of NC President Sushil Koirala, Policy and Programme Committee under coordination of NC Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, Statute Committee under coordination of Ananda Prasad Dhungana, Housing and Management Committee under coordination of Bal Bahadur KC, Publicity Committee under coordination of Dr Minendra Rijal, Food and Management Committee under coordination of Bhimsen Das Pradhan and Volunteer Mobilization Committee under coordination of Narayan Koirala were proposed for the preparation of general convention, it is learnt.
The party has called the meeting to review the situation after formation of a new government and to discuss about the preparation of the general convention. The 13th general convention of NC is scheduled from March 3, 2016.
The cc meeting will continue from 8:00 am tomorrow.
