Rautahat, 25 March, 2015 : Former Minister and leader of the Nepali Congress Mohamad Aftab Alam has pledged Rs 551,000 to construct a temple and a religious guest house at Shivanagar of Garuda Municipality in Rautahat.
Alam, a Muslim, attended the Shreemad Bhagawat Saptaha Gyan Mahaygya, a Hindu religious function, organized at the Municipality and announced the donation.
Speaking at the programme, former minister Alam said it is one and all citizens’ duty and responsibility to preserve the religious and cultural faiths of all religions and community.
Similarly, NC Rautahat District President Krishna Prasad Yadav gave words to contribute Rs 500,000 for the construction of temple.
