Kathmandu, Nov 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has requested the major opposition Nepali Congress to cooperate with the government on the formation of the Reconstruction Authority.
During a meeting of the major three political parties- NC, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) – at his residence, Baluwatar on Sunday evening, PM Oli urged the Nepali Congress to help government pass the bill on reconstruction authority in view of the pressing need of reconstruction activities. The bill to this is in the parliament now.
To the PM’s proposal, the Nepali Congress leaders said they would respond after holding discussion within the party.
The meeting was attended by PM and UML party Chairman Oli, UML Vice-Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Bhim Rawal, Minister Agni Kharel, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, and General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, among others.
