Bhaktapur, Oct 21,2014 : Preparations for the celebrations of Nepal Sambat 1135 were completed.
National Luminary Shankhadhar Sakhwa Academy is going to mark the Nepal Sambat 1135 by organising various programmes this year like the yesteryears.
Sharing information about this at a press meet here today, Academy Chairperson Shyam Krishna Manandhar said Prime Minister Sushil Koirala will attend the celebrations. He is scheduled to garland the statue of Shankhadhar Sakhwa in Thimi Sankhadhar Sakhwa Chowk amidst a special programme on October 24.
The programme has been fixed for 8:00 am. On the same occasion, the PM will lay a foundation stone of Shankhadhar Museum going to be constructed near his statue. The local administration has arranged all necessary security arrangements in view of the Nepal Sambat celebrations, Academy Secretary Gyanram Prajapati said.
Besides, the government has allocated Rs 3.5 million for the construction of Academy building which is expected to start within this year, Academy Vice-Chair Gyan Krishna Shrestha added.
Academy outgoing Chairman Madankrishna Shrestha and Vice Chair Chandankrishna Shrestha extended the Nepal Sambat best wishes to all Nepali brothers and sisters.
