Kathmandu, Sept 30: Minister for Youth and Sports, Purushottam Poudel, has said that the problem surfaced in the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) would be settled as soon as possible.
At an interaction organised by the National Sports Council here today, Minister Poudel said that although initiatives were taken in the past to resolve the problem, they were in vain for lack of coordination of the former member-secretary.
Similarly, NSC member-secretary Keshav Kumar Bista said that a leadership, which would be acceptable to all, would be selected by holding broad discussion with players, sports lovers and sport experts, among others.
Expressing the view that disputes surfaced in different sports organisations would be settled only after resolving the problem seen in CAN, Bista said that he was ready to take any move for the development of the sports sector.
Likewise, National Cricket Team Captain, Paras Khadka said that a leadership that loves cricket and players was required.
