Bhimduttanagar, Dec 17: The transport service of far-western mountainous districts which was disrupted due to snowfall has come to resumption.
With snowfall since Monday night, the transport routes in Hagulte and Melkharka area of Dadeldhura along the Bhimduttapant Highway have been blanketed with snow.
The transport service came to normalcy after the snow covering the road was removed on Tuesday afternoon, said Regional Traffic Police Office, Attariya.
The Road Division Office cleared the snow with the use of dozer. The passenger-ferrying long-route buses and loaded trucks were stranded on the road during whole night due to road disruption.
The snowfall has gripped far-western districts including Achham, Bajura, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula and Bajhang. The incessant snowfall has adversely affected normal life in the far-western region.
It is so far the highest volume of snowfall in the past six years, said locals.
The mercury has also dipped down in two Terai districts, Kailali and Kanchanpur.
