Bhadrapur, Sep 1: Mechi Times Daily editor Rohit Kafle was honoured with Pramod Tamang Memorial Good Governance Journalism Award.
Similarly, the best performance award, instituted in memory of Tamang, was handed over to Krishna Prasad Khatiwada of Land Revenue Office and Dhaijan VDC Secretary Matrika Prasad Bajgain.
Nepal Civil Service Employees’ Organization Jhapa Chapter gave away the awards to journalist and civil service employees at a programme organized here on Sunday on fourth memorial day of the civil service employee the late Pramod Tamang.
The Tamang Best Performance Award carries a purse of Rs 10,151 each while Good Governance Journalism Award bags cash prize of Rs 5,151.
Organization Jhapa Chapter Chairperson Laxmi Prasad Guragain presided over the programme.
