Pathari, Sept. 16: Three more persons have died of Japanese encephalitis in Morang.
According to Information Officer at District Public Health Office, Utsav Pokharel, Kamala Bhandari, 44, from Urlabari-1; Ujir Dhami, 4, from Urlabari-3 and Dal Bahadur Shrestha, 86, from Urlabari-4 died of the Japanese encephalitis.
With this, the death toll has reached nine. Among the dead, three are women.
The District Public Health Office has been raising public awareness through programmes and poster and pamphlets. It has also sprayed medicine in the affected area.
