Rolpa, Sept 16: Last night in western Rolpa, three members of a single family were buried by landslide along with their house at Khanikhola of Juggar-5.
According to the police, One local Jeet Bahadur Pun, his 40-year-old spouse Krishnakala and five-year-old daughter Bipana lost their life due to the calamity triggered by unstable and uncertain monsoon rain. However, Jeet Bahadur’s son was rescued alive.
Seven goats were also killed in the incident. Beat In-charge Dilip Thapa said that a joint team of locals and police personnel from the Jugar Police Beat reached the site for rescue. Through this, the death from the rains caused landslides has reached seven in the district.
