Traffic teachers in schools to prevent road accidents

Nawalparasi, September 11, 2017: The local authorities in Nawalparasi are preparing to set up one traffic teacher for every school in view of the increasing road accidents at Kawasoti area of Nawalparasi.

The District Traffic Office, Kawasoti in support of the Auto Ways Pvt. Ltd., Chitwan and Rotary Club of Narayangadh will be launching the campaign to produce a traffic teacher in each of the schools.

District’s Traffic Chief, Dharmendra Rawal, said the traffic teachers will produce traffic volunteers in every school. The volunteers will then raise traffic awareness in the society.

Rawal added that the model program was being introduced so that a positive impact could be made from the school, teachers and the students.

The teachers of the schools will be informed on the traffic rules, management and methods to minimize road accidents. The traffic teachers will be authorized to launch programs in collaboration with the nearest traffic office.

The students will then organize a monthly program on traffic awareness, road accidents, drug abuse and environmental conservation.
