Kathmandu, 23 Oct 2014: Transaction of gold has increased with the beginning of Tihar festival.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (NEGOSIDA), 25 kilogrammes of yellow metal and 200 kilogrammes of silver is being sold every day this week in Kathmandu.
Similarly, a total of 10 kilogrammes of yellow metal and around 100 kilogrmmes of silver were transacted every day During Dashain, said NEGOSIDA Chairman, Maniratna Shakya.
Around 60 kilogrammes of gold was sold in three days while six kilogrammes of gold is now hardly transacted daily in normal days.
With the rise in the sales of gold has encouraged trades to unveil jewellery in new designs.
