Ratnanagar (Chitwan), July 28, 2015 : Due to a bridge over Jayashree River collapsed in Gaindakot.The Narayanghad-Butwal section Vehicular movement of east west highway has been affected.
Since monday evening thousands of passengers and hundreds of vehicles have been stranded in Narayanghad, Aaptari and Bus Park, said the District Police Office, Chiwan. Just some three years ago the bridge was also brought into operation after repairing some damages.
Further more, still the efforts have not been materialized to open an alternate route.Is is said that the reason to collapse the bridge was the passing of overloaded vehicles.
