Kathmandu, May 15, 2017: Vote counting of 79 local-levels concluded on Sunday under the first round of local-level election has already begun.

According to the Election Commission, process was underway to bring ballot boxes from polling stations in the mountainous and remote areas including Rasuwa, Dhading, Dolpa, Humla, Gorkha and Mugu at the counting centres of these respective districts this morning.

Task to collect the ballot boxes of eight places of province no 3, 25 places of province no 4 and 51 places of province no 6 was on, according to the EC.

Vote counting begins in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Vote counting under the first-phase local-level election in Kathmandu Metropolitan City has begun a while ago.

According to election office sources, the all-party meeting forged consensus to begin the counting process and it began from Ward No 1 booths.
