Kathmandu, September 27:Â The flood and landslide victims during monsoon is to be granted with additional funds by the government on the occasion of Hindu festivals.
The government decided to provide Rs.3000 to each families who were the victims of flood and landslides as per the Central Disaster Relief Committee during this festive season of Dashain, Tihar and Chatth, Irrigation Minister, Narayan Prasad Saud informed on Saturday.
Moreover, the government decided to increase daily flood and landslide victims grant to Rs. 50 form Rs.35.
According to the records from the Irrigation Ministry, the disaster destructed 10,000houses completely and 25,000 houses partially in districts of Banke,Bardiya, Surkhet,Mugu and Dang resulting 13 billion damage of infrastructure.
