Parasi, Sept 25: Nawalparsi district has recently received the Automatic Field Weather Station (AFWS) for the first time and second time in the country.
The (AFWS) is a system/technology to observe and forecast weather.
The Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, in partnership with the Real Time Solutions Pvt Ltd installed this technology at Bardaghat in the district, targeting the Chisapani Community Forest where various herbal plants of medicinal value have been planted, according to Yam Bahadur Thapa, Chairperson of the Chisapani Forest Users’ Community Group.
The technology is believed to be useful in examining the moisture in the soils and its temperature, benefitting the cultivation of valuable herbal plants in the community forest, added Chairperson Thapa.
Apart from imparting information about the weather, one can avail of information about 150 herbal plants planted within the country through the online library installed as a part of the Weather Station.
