CIAA CASE FILED AGAINST TWO EMPLOYEES FOR POSSESSING FAKE CERTIFICATES

Kathmandu, Aug. 26: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Birgunj Sub Metropolis Nayab Subba (non-gazetted first class officer) Manichandra Gupta at the Special Court for possessing fake academic certificates. The case was filed Tuesday.

According to the CIAA, he presented fake academic certificates of intermediate level while joining the service. His academic documents which showed he has passed the proficiency certificate-level from the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Patna in 1995 are found to be fake. The CIAA has demanded maximum penalty against him.

Similarly, the same nature of charge-sheet has been filed against Assistant Accountant of Agricultural Development Bank, Dharan, Neeraj Neupane. Passed certificates of Intermediate in Commerce (I. Com.) under the same Council taken in 1996 that Neupane submitted while entering into the service are found fake, the CIAA said in a press statement today. Strict actions must be charged against both.
