The lawmakers have provided one day’s salary as donation to the victims of landslides in Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Sankhuwasabha.
The proposal tabled in the parliament at Tuesday’s meeting as per the decision of the Business Advisory Committee was approved with unanimous votes.
At today’s zero hour of the parliament, the lawmakers drew the attention of the government to expedite relief distribution for the landslide victims of Sindhupalchowk district and book the perpetrators involved in the violence against women.
The lawmakers further urged the government to heed the complaints of the people from Tarai region, saying that paddy transplantation was not completed in some districts for lack of irrigation.
