Lahan, 2 June, 2015 : The lack of sufficient number of engineers and sub-engineers in the Road Division Office, Lahan has affected the monitoring and evaluation of the ongoing road construction projects in different districts of Siraha, Saptari and Udayapur.

Despite of the post of six engineers and fifteen sub-engineers in the office, an engineer and two sub-engineers are working.

Chief Engineer at the Office Anuthalal Prasad Patel said that the office is assigned to look after the road construction standards in Siraha, Saptari and Udayapur districts but monitoring of the road projects is severely affected due to limited human resources.

He also said, “We are facing problems for monitoring and evaluation of the road projects as we lack required number of officials to carry out the job effectively.”
