Kathmandu,29 March 2015: The 30-party alliance led by Unified CPN (Maoist) has decided not to attend the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting.
The 30-party alliance meeting held at the UCPN (Maoist)’s parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Sunday has decided to keep on its scheduled protest programmes and boycott the CA meeting citing unclear intentions of the ruling coalition.
Talking to journalists after emerging out of the meeting, Sadbhavana Party (SP)’s co-chairperson Laxman Lal Karna briefed that they came up with the decision not to be the part of the CA meeting since the ruling parties have failed to show readiness for consensus despite their reiteration on talks.
CA Chairperson Subas Nembang has summoned the CA meeting for 1.00 pm on April 6.
The alliance has drawn a conclusion that they would continue with their protest programme and keep the door open for positive dialogue as well.
