Patients Increasing Due to Heat

Mahottari, June 11, 2015: Intense heat is increasing people falling sick in Mahottari. Due to rise of the temperature which has been recorded between 38 to 41 degree celsius, the number of people coming to health centres with heat-related health complications has increased District Health Office in Mahottari said.

Medical officer at the hospital Dr Rajiv Shah said that the District Hospital in Mahottari has been receiving 250 to 300 patients every day coming for treatment of heat-related complication. He added Fever, typhoid, diarrhoea and vomiting, pneumonia, jaundice and viral fevers have been the primary diseases that the people are coming for treatment to the health centres in the district.

The result of the intense heat brought impact not only to children and the elderly, but adults as well as those not working too have been suffering.
