June 1, 2015: During the survey on earthquake effects on city area President Dr Ram Baran Yadav also visited the National Seismological Centre and acquired information about the quake measurement system at Lainchaur in the capital today.
The Centre chief Lokbijaya Adhikari said that Quake measuring stations and information dissemination system as well was inquired by President Yadav. Earlier, President Yadav was welcomed to the Department of Mines and Geology by Industry Minister Mahesh Basnet and Industry secretary Jay Mukunda Khanal.
So far after the 25 April Quake 293 aftershocks above four Richter scale have been recorded, according to the Centre. Similarly, as per the centre today at 4:35 am an aftershock measuring four in the Richter scale was ocuured with epicenter in Sidhupalchowk district.
