Rautahat, Sept 12: The vaccination drive against cholera has begun in Chandrapur municipality-2, Gaindatar from today.
The District Public Health Office and Chandranigahapur Hospital took the initiative to administer vaccination service to prevent cholera outbreak in the municipality area.
According to the District Public Health Office, anti-cholera vaccination is being administered for the first time after cholera claimed a life in the area two months ago.
The vaccination drive will offer service to the general public excluding pregnant mothers and ageing people of cholera affected zone of the Makawanpur district.
Under the campaign, it is aimed to administer vaccination against cholera to 6,378 of 1,042 households of Gaindatar, Chisapani, Mahadev Danda, Sutne Khola, Shyaldanda and Ratauli villages, said senior health assistant of Chandranigahapur Hospital Matrika Chalise.
