Falebas (Parbat), Sept 17: In Parbat district headquarters, Kushma , the big problem seems is the solid waste management, due to pile-up of garbage with the expansion of urban settlement.

In the past three years in Kushma the problem has emerged when waste product has doubled. There is seem to increase of at least 200 households every year while the score of people in rented houses has also surged during the period according to the headquarter.

The waste management in Kushma Bazar has been troubled by the growing population density and the migration. The problem is visible in absence of landfill site to manage around two tons of garbage produced every day.

Collective Campaign for Clean Kushma has been effotful though, for the waste management with the help of tractor and the local people. It is not adequate for systematic waste management, said the Campaign Coordinator Khadananda Acharya.

He said that no one is cooperating with the waste management bid. The additional tractors and the helpful and cooperative people are very less so the Campaign for the waste management is not going well.
