Inspection Of Quake-Hit Areas In Dhading By President

Dhading, June 9, 2015: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has requested everyone to get involve in rescue, relief and relief management task after the quake.

President Yadav who arrived at the district headquarters, Dhadingbesi, after inspecting the quake-hit Saurpani in the district, stated  that the eagerness and unity shown by all Nepalis to overcome the crisis during the disaster was commendable, at a programme organised by the District Natural Disaster Rescue and Relief Committee today.
Meanwhile he also carried out aerial inspection of different quake-hit areas including Sertung and acquainted himself about the relief operation.

The report regarding the loss of lives and properties caused by the quake in the district, contribution of the Nepalese Army, the Nepal Police, political parties and civil society in the rescue operation, status of relief distribution, challenges and problems was presented by the  Coordinator of the District Natural Disaster Relief and Rescue Committee and Chief District Officer, Basudev Ghimire, and Battalion Chief at the Sabuj Battalion, Gajuri, of the Nepalese Army, Bichitra Raj Regmi.

Llikewise the Minister for Finance, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, showed acknowledgment  for the support received from within and outside the country during the hour of disaster and voiced commitment not to allow any weaknesses in the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction task.

Similarly, out of 83,000 houses, over 65,000 were damaged completely and some 5,000 houses suffered partial damage. un the same way 733 people in the district lost their lives in the quake occured on April 25. not only that but the quake has damage 318 schools in the district.
